Wedding Planning 101: The Paper Part 1

I would like to start this post out by saying that Anne Hitchins has the patience of a saint. Who is Anne Hitchins you ask? She is the owner of Anne Hitchins Custom Invitations & Announcements and who I am using for my "paper wardrobe" for my wedding. Why is she a saint? Plainly put, I am a pain in the ass.

Working in advertising, my job is to establish and maintain a specific brand's identity on a daily basis. I work to make sure the look, tone, feel, voice, personality of the brand is real and consistent. It's not without it's challenges of course, but now that I'm applying those same principles to my own "brand" AKA WEDDING, it's infinitely harder!

That's only the half of it. The intricacies of paper and printing coupled with wedding etiquette is enough to make your head spin! Do you want 110 or 100 lb paper? Should the Rehearsal Dinner invites go in the same envelope as the wedding invite? Is it a faux pays for the STD to be different from the invite? The list goes on...

Enter Anne Hitchins, owner and designer, and sales representative Meagan Nayfa. These two are seriously guardian angles helping me navigate through the unknown world of wedding stationery. They have graciously answered all my questions and discussed my vision ad nauseum. I have shared with them the examples above as general look and style I am going for (collected via Pinterest). I have also pointed to Anne's work below as a source for inspiration. It's crazy to see how honed in my vision in- cursive, pink and... ribbons? I'm looking forward to seeing Anne's designs for the Save The Dates in December. Until then, enjoy her beautiful work :)

In fact I create wedding websites on the side that are consistent with the look/theme/location of events for exactly that reason www.brandedbliss.com. Excited to see what invitations you end up choosing, hope you post about it!
