How We Style It - Ankle Booties

Last week, a miraculous thing happened. I received most comfortable 5" platform ankle booties that I had ordered from Auri, and I wore them to work. You're probably saying to yourself, big whoop. Adult women wear heels to work all the time. Not me, tootsies. In the (almost) year since Julia and I have formed our unholy union, I have become painfully aware of the lack of heels in closet, and have recently set about making Queen J proud of my heels game!

When I saw one of my favie Instagrammers @longlostjewelry post a cray-cray cute pair of ankle booties, noting how comfy they were and that they were on supa-sale since the company was going out of biz, I pounced! After wearing them to work last week and getting compliments left and right ("you look so trim!"-  my boss "I think I like these shoes!" - me) I decided then and there that I would have heels permanently attached to my cloven hooves. You think I'm kidding, but I put my work clothes back on after my barre class JUST so I could wear my cutie Auri heels into Trader Joe's and enjoy my newfound fancy lady status a little bit more. Am I about 10 years late on the enjoyment of wearing heels? Sure. Better late than never? That's what I say!
