Maxi Skirt Madness

I admit, I was slow to get into the maxi skirt trend. It wasn't that I didn't love a good maxi skirt, it's just that it's rarely warm enough in SF to justify the purchase of one. However, when it is warm in SF, a maxi skirt is straight up the only thing I want to wear. Imagine my excitement when my brother got me this Splendid number for Christmas. Double that excitement when TC surprised me with a trip down to Newport Beach to visit Allison a couple of weeks ago. Was it the perfect time to take my new maxi for a spin? You bet your ass it was.

When I was packing for the trip, we weren't sure if we were going to be spending my birthday on a boat or out and about so I packed both sneakers and booties. We actually still didn't know when I was getting dressed, so I erred on the side of caution and wore my sneakers. I loaded on my Julie Vos baubles and threw on my leather jacket and called it a day.
