Girl Crush of the Week: Lindsay Speace of The Pursuit of Style
I knew I liked interior designer Lindsay Speace's style the moment I started following her on Instagram. Then, when she sent me her responses to my girl crush questionnaire, I was like OMG we are spirit animals! I too love Lee Radziwell and find Elsie de Wolfe fascinating. So ya, we're totally BFFs now and I think you'll want to be her BFF too. Please join me in getting to know Lindsay Speace of the blog The Pursuit of Style and firm Lindsay Speace Interior Design, as today's Girl Crush of the Week.
Style icons?
- Fashion: Lee Radziwell, Aerin Lauder, Olivia Palermo, Grace Kelly, Diana Vreeland
- Interiors: Tom Scheerer, Peter Dunham, Madeline Castaing, Markham Roberts, India Hicks, Miles Redd, Lindsey Coral Harper
Favorite style trend of the moment? I'm loving that tassels are having a moment in both fashion and interiors. I can't get enough tassel earrings, necklaces, shoes and in my design work find myself wanting to add tassel drawer pulls or trim to everything! They're so playful.
Favorite book? The Catcher in the Rye
Favorite perfume? Lys 41 by Le Labo
Interior design philosophy? I strive to create interiors that are classic, colorful, and collected and believe that a home should be a reflection of its owners, not its decorator.
Your go-to shopping destinations? For fashion, Shopbop, Net-a-Porter/The Outnet, Sephora. For interiors, I can never resist the thrill of the hunt at a flea market or antique mall.
Must-have beauty product? I'm never without a tub of Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment. Mascara and an eyelash curler would be my other can't live withouts. I've been using L'Oreal Voluminous since high school.
Secret addiction? Instagram! (Follow Lindsay here)
Favorite drink? Gin & Tonic, Dark 'n Stormy, French 75 or anything with St. Germain!
Favorite meal to prepare? In the winter I love making soup. It's such a comfort food. We recently tried Gwyneth Paltrow's roasted carrot soup which was surprisingly delicious--and most importantly super easy, no trip to a specialty store necessary--if something has over ten ingredients it's probably not going to happen, ha!
Favorite piece of jewelry? My engagement ring. My only guidance to my now husband was that I didn't want something new. He found a French estate piece circa the 1920s that has a really unique setting of sapphires and diamonds around the central diamond. It feels very "me."
Favorite workout? Ballet Barre
Favorite fitness apparel item? I'm so late to the band wagon on this, but I got a BKR water bottle for Christmas and it's really helped me up my water intake during the day.
