Looking back on 2014 and ahead to 2015

The great thing about having this little blog of mine is that it serves as a record for things I've done, worn and said. Having long forgotten what my goals or "resolutions" were for 2014, I looked back to this post on January 5, 2014 to see what I had planned for the year. Here's how I measured up.

Healthy Lifestyle
I can honestly say that I have kept pretty on track with this one. While there were a few setbacks, a pizza-filled trip to Italy and a knee/hip injury that kept me off the road and the spin bike for several months, for the most part, I have been doing well. In September, I even gave up processed food and while it wasn't easy at first, I loved the effects. I'll be continuing that, as best is possible, in 2015. 

Having been given a clean bill of health from my doctor after my injury, I am back on my spin bike. I am still loyal to the spinning + pilates combo, and when the weather gets nice again, I'll get back to running. I'm working out about 4 days a week which is the right amount for me- anything less and I feel a little crazy and anything more I am exhausted so this pace feels right. In 2015, I plan to keep up the same routine and maybe mix things up with some barre classes.

2014 allowed me to reconnect with all of my friends that fell by the wayside during the great wedding planning dash of 2013. All of them were still there, and still wanted to be my friends THANK GOD. It's so wonderful to be back hanging out with them.

This year was also great for my husband and me to dedicate to our first year of marriage. We've been able to take some trips together just the two of us and also just enjoy the time we have at home. We're having a blast!

The Blog
In 2014 I vowed to make the blog my priority. Wellllllll that one took a little longer than expected. Between my focus on my relationships and my continued focus on living a healthy lifestyle, the blog took a back burner for about the first 9 months of the year. Sorry guys. 

For 2015, I'm planning to scoot the blog back up there on my list. My goals are to post 2-3 times a week on the content you all like most, find some inspirational gals to share with you, take better pictures and maybe redo the design/layout. Sound like a deal? So that's what I've got. Here's to making 2015 the best year yet!!
